Viraj Naik

Viraj Naik received his B.F.A in printmaking from Goa College of Art, Goa University (1993-1998). He then completed his M.F.A in printmaking from Sarojini Naidu School of Fine Art, University of Hyderabad (1998-2000) where he was later invited to teach as a guest faculty member. He has had solo shows at Galerie Nvya, New Delhi (2006), The Museum Gallery, Mumbai (2004) and Galerie Cidade, Goa. He received a Merit Scholarship from the University of Hyderabad (1998) and the All Indian Fine Arts and Crafts Society State Award, Goa (1997 and 2000). Naik lives and works in Goa.

Hukum Lal Verma

Indian, B. 1965 — Hukum Lal Verma was born in 1970 in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. He was awarded an MFA by Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh, in 1997. Hukum Lal has a penchant for his vibrant, abstract works, with arduous brush strokes and deep connotations. Group Shows (1992-2009): Twenty group shows, including exhibitions at Visual Art Gallery (2007) and India Habitat Centre (2009), both New Delhi; Aicon Art Gallery, Palo Alto, USA (2008); and Galerie Mller & Plate, Munich, Germany (2005) Solo Shows (2001-2005): Three solo shows, in New Delhi, Bharat Bhavan and Bhopal.

Dhaneshwar Shah

Indian, B. 1970 — A young Contemporary artist, Dhaneshwar Shah is one of the very few artists to have earned wide recognition and acclaims at a young age. Winner of several residencies, as well as entering into auctions at a young age, Dhaneshwar’s works are a result of his influence and fascination of Indian Folk and Tribal Art, Aborginal Art from Australia and Tanzanian Tinga- Tinga Art. Unlike typical contemporary artists, Shah moves away from urban centric artworks and engages with animal forms and nature, buzzing with life and colour.

Hemant Rao

Indian, B. 1975 — Hemant Rao is a self taught artist, having exhibited his works widely in India and internationally. His works, as he says forms shed around a deep feeling of peacefulness. Somewhere one can find peaceful reflection of morning where others contain the shades of dusky grey. The dots of multitude colors and shapes depict different forms and feelings. His inspiration has benn natural environment, various aspects and forms of nature which is reflected in his soft, delicate tones and great dexterity in his works. He reckons these are reflections of his inner self, though denoted by abstracts and different colours and shapes, these unparalleled forms give him great ecstasy.
